Introducing Surat to exotic flavours, international desserts and creative ways to consume gateau, Nikhar Nanavati, with her power packed deli, The Dough Company is making her way into the hearts of Surtis and is here to stay. At 22, when most of us are just figuring out our lives and career paths, she has successfully set up this venture and plans to grow it with a clear vision.<\/p>\n
A casual conversation started at the dinner table lead to the birth of this venture. After mentioning her passion to start a gourmet bakery\u00a0in Surat, Nikhar was shocked and thrilled by the support she received from her family. Being a strong, independent person from the beginning, this was something she was internally prepared to do.<\/p>\n
Her usp \u2013 eggless baked goodies also has been the biggest challenge for her to beat. It is a tough job in itself to create an entire line of baked products without eggs, let alone keep the taste, texture and quality of the product intact, which has been an uncompromised territory for Nikhar. Quality of the product is The Dough Company\u2019s first priority and that is the reason it flourished the way it has.<\/p>\n

Resilience and a no \u2013 nonsense attitude towards work has kept the business moving. Be it the ethical aspect of work or the work itself. She\u00a0believes in bringing innovation to work, something that keeps it interesting and keeps her going. With a horde of loyal customers, Nikhar, being a people\u2019s person understands the responsibility she has and is always ready to provide the best of her abilities. She connects with her customers and takes suggestions and implements them in her work.<\/p>\n
Apart from being a serious working girl, she\u2019s just one of us. Shopping is something she can happily spend her moolah on, enjoys movies and loves to read. A normal next door girl, she proves that if one is determined enough, they can reach wherever they desire to. A boost for many women her age to go and get it.\u00a0A woman of substance, she has something unique to give to the city and a great deal can be learnt from her \u2013 her work philosophy and her passion for what she does. The Dough Company has carved its way into being one of the finest patisseries in the city and is growing each day. With two branches in less than a year, Nikhar plans to successfully set up two more branches by the end of this year.<\/p>\n
