- What has been your mother\u2019s role in making you what you are today?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Shobhit fondly remembers his mother saying – \u201cI don\u2019t want to make you strong and powerful, and mere materialistic rich. I want to make you tender, and gentle, and empathetic. Don’t worry! Rest will be taken care of by the blessings that you’ll earn.” These inspirational words by Shradha, have been ingrained in the mind of Shobhit, since he was a kid. Brought up with the old-school ideologies of selflessness, grace, blessings, karma and forgiveness, he credits his ability to write poems to his emotional upbringing. His belief that words can bring a change is the reason that most of his pieces are along the lines of spirituality, self-betterment or some social change. The inspiration for his generous and benevolent nature has been his mother who is a very altruistic person herself.<\/span><\/p>\n

- How has your mother helped you or been your strength in facing life during the time of distress?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Any break down of an individual is actually an opportunity for the family to unite; these are not just words but an experience, says Shobhit. He shares incidents of how his mother has always backed him at the time of distress. Feeling despondent and dispirited after his math board exam that didn\u2019t go well, he went to his mother and gave her a tight hug who in return just smiled and acted like nothing was wrong. Shradha instead talked about Rumi, his favourite poet and jokingly told him that poets can’t be good with something as logical as mathematics. She tried everything she could to make him smile, comfort him and did not let him ponder much on how his paper went. His mother gave him the greatest strength, in the form of emotional security while making him stronger and uplifting him whenever he was down.<\/span><\/p>\n

- What is that one trait of your mother that you admire the most and even aspire to emulate in yourself?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The warmth his mother radiates and her selfless behaviour is something that never fails to inspire Shobhit. Not only is she a great support for him but also for his bedridden grandparents, whatever she does for them is out of love and without any complaints or expectations. Working tirelessly throughout the year, she says that it\u2019s an honour rather than a duty to serve. <\/span><\/p>\n

Shobhit feels that \u2018mother-son\u2019 relationships need a better and more sacred word than love. \u2018 He said, \u2018I feel devoted to you, Maa!\u2019, as his simple message to his mother.<\/span><\/p>\n
