Gaurav Singhvi has been neck deep into networking lately and a good one at that. The name and face of BNI- Business Network International, Surat. The person who, along with his wife Dr. Nidhi Singhvi, has been given the honour of being the fastest Executive Director in the world, with 211 members in 4 chapters in Surat. On asking why did he start with this concept of BNI he says that being in Surat, he always felt the lack of professionalism in and around people, inspite of it being a spellbindingly awesome business hub. So to bring together, the business personals and entrepreneurs from the varied classes of business, he started BNI, with a goal of making Surat at par with other metro cities. Not only to help people grow in their individual businesses, but to help Surat grow as a business hub as well.

Talking about BNI, its a 35 years old international organisation, with some 2,12,000 members and 7,735 chapters globally, while 12,800+ members with 286 chapters operating in 23 cities in India itself making BNI an important organisation in referral marketing. Many people tried to start with the same concept of referral marketing but they couldn’t drag it long and filed in a short span, they just couldn’t match to the level of BNI.

Gaurav, who also runs a hugely successful project finance practice under Financial Supermarket says that it has always helped not only to the people who are new in the business but also to the established individuals. Basically BNI, consists of two combinations where people come, meet and exchange referrals. For example one chapter has only one entity from a particular field, so there are negligible chances of competition and negative vibes. People are genuinely helping other mates to grow their business by giving them referrals.

Soon we are planning to organise a BNI business conclave wherein people from all the chapters can unite and interact with each other. We are aiming to reach to 400 member in the BNI surat chapter by April 2017 and 500 by July of the coming year.
