The Dahi handi 🙂

Surat celebrated Janmashtami in the grandest of the fashions, this year. Espirit events organized ‘Gujarat’s tallest ever Dahi Handi’, at Pragati Maidan this Sunday. People came in numbers to witness the fanfare, the sound of dhols, the smell of festival in the air. The event was also associated with a lot of other organizations like YouthNation, Biking Queens etc to create awareness about things like Women Empowerment etc. Harsh Sanghvi, MLA from Surat was one of the chief guests there. Amongst other people, were celebrities from the television industry who came to interact with Surtis and also boost the morale of the participants. 6 teams from different parts of the city competed against each other. The winner took home a bunch load of prices. Never ever our city has witness Janmashtami celebrations of this scale. Check out the photos below.
