“We feel proud to showcase talent from across the nation. The collection is elegant and exquisite, than any other exhibition in Surat”, says Madhu Banthia and, the co – organizer of this grand annual event. She huddled her way into the overwhelming crowd to show us some of the finest designers from Kolkata, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and more.The exhibit is organised each year by Madhu and her partner Shalini Agarwal in Surat, Ahmedabad and Jaipur.
The clothing collection ranged from gorgeous saris, palazzos, floor length gowns to jackets, anarkalis and kurtis in sheer materials like georgette, raw silk and traditional weaves like raw silk, bandhni, banarasi and many more.
This time, Aspiration broke the norm with Ray & Dale, first men’s exhibit/stall to ever be presented in a clothing exhibition in the city. With a classic collection of shirts, sunglasses and cufflinks, the highlight of their collection was their customization of bow ties with your desired material then and there.
Aspiration 2015 sets a trend by exhibiting handcrafted work of an NGO – Touch of Care by Aarti Singal for the needy and to nourish the underprivileged. The collections from their work goes to those who are in real need of love and a helping hand.
Perfect accessories with intricate embroidery made a perfect bundle with the clothes, this wedding season. From folk ear wear to indo-western purses, Aspiration 2015 definitely makes a style statement like none other.
The surprise of this show is the contemporary home décor demonstrated by a few designers. Some of these items are way too desirable!
