Vamil that originally means beautiful in Sanskrit, is an ode to the Indian woman’s dressing sensibilities and style that persistently works to develop a distinctive design palette for an exclusive line of Indian wear and Indowestern wear. This design label was brought to life in 2006 by Tina Narang and Sonali Singh after a successful five-year stint as lead designers of the Satya Paul label. Graduates from the Pearl Academy of Fashion, New Delhi, both the designers over the years, have developed keen design perceptions to perform in the Indian fashion scenario. Their collections are often inspired by the fashion sense of the contemporary Indian woman and from various ancient cultures like Japanese and Egyptian that can be wrapped for special occasions and for everyday use as well. The handcrafted garments comprise of embellished georgettes, chiffons, crepe, chanderi, benarasi and silk embroidery and much more.
