Happiness indeed tastes like a deliciously cooked Biryani. That’s what Ashwin Singh and Amit Singh must be thinking when they co-founded the Bollywood Biryani Company (BBC) at Safal Square, Vesu, Surat. Although born and brought up in Surat, Ashwin has worked as a corporate professional for 12 years, before starting BBC 9 months ago. With Amit taking care of all the Operations, the brothers’ duo have managed to bring in the lip-smacking range of real Biryani to the city.

Their respect for the delicately prepared Indian cuisine incepted the idea to open a place that will brim with rich flavors. They realized that Biryani is a globally recognized Indian delicacy and Surat as a city was lacking a good place that offered an assortment specifically for Biryani flavors, under one roof.

Being Bollywood fans themselves, they zeroed in on coming up with a Biryani house right at the heart of Surat. They say that the people of our landscape are crazy about food and movies and somehow they can place a correlation between the two. Backing up their eatery with research and development and thoughtful management, they often say goodbyes to delighted customers and 90% of them come back. Zomato rates them a 4.2 out of 5, Swiggy stars them with a 4.2 out of 5, while Google rates BBC with 4.7 out of 5, which is quite impressive.

Their most popular dish is their showstopper Mutton Biryani, while their Butter Chicken is already the talk of the town. Among the vegetarians, their Paneer Tikka Biryani is an equally popular dish. The initial challenge that they faced was to alter the notion that Biryani is just an alternative to rice that is to be ordered at the end of a meal. Whereas, Biryani is so wholesome and fulfilling that it is a complete meal in itself. Serving food from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm, they satisfy a number of foodies not just with their non-vegetarian options but also with their vegetarian dishes. They are planning to soon come up with more creative versions of Biryani and gratify their patrons. They might also expand and set up a franchise in the near future.
